1. allied health tickets are on sale for $20….it’s going to be perth’s biggest student party for 2010 and will defs be an awesome night on the 16/04/10…just ask Sam in 1st year, Tom in 2nd year, Lisa in 3rd year and Kav in 4th/5th years…or check out http://www.facebook.com/#!/event.php?eid=357037021451
2. hope everyone had fun at nogga…congratulations to the construction workers team from 4th year for winning it for the 3rd year in a row!
3. loupes…Dr Yates, Prof Ichim and UDSS are currently organising an event for a few loupes companies to come down and show off their products

Convention 2010

Dear Dental Schools across the nation,
It is my pleasure to forward you details to the highly anticipated
Australian Dental Convention.
This year, a week of highly intellectual lectures, stimulating
conversation, tasty cocktails, dazzling costumes, beautiful people and
lifelong friendships will develop. This will take place from the 6th till
the 11th of July in the town of high culture: Melbourne.
The Australian Dental Students convention takes place each year in a
different capital city, and brings together dental students from every
single university. We arrange accomodation, transport, meals, drinks,
parties, lectures, opportunities to meet your future colleagues and
friends and give you something awesome to look forward to these mid year
holidays! Everyone from first to fifth year attends and never have we
heard a single soul regret their trip.
There is also the opportunity for anyone who is anyone with enthusiasm or
bright ideas to become a member of the Australian Dental Students
Association. We are a growing society and are looking for new faces to
grow with us and make the life of a dental student as amazing as is
possible!
We will be sending out more details soon, but in the meantime save the
dates in your diary and search the facebook event “Dental Students
Convention - Melbourne 2010!!!” and click “Attending”!!

Submit Your Fresher T-Shirt Designs!!!

Hey nerds,
The freshers are almost here and we need to find a new t-shirt design asap – preferably by Monday the 8th of Feb.
Your designs may be handed to any UDSS committee member.
Winner gets a fabulous mystery prize plus a free copy of the shirt, but ultimately all of you will be winners because otherwise you will be stuck with the merMAN aka Seedy on your shirt. (See attached photo)

Tickets are available from UDSS members. Staff are asked to please purchase theirs off a 5th year

Whats cracking kiddies? good to see a few people rock up to rugby on the weekend and have a bit of a run around. Our next UDSS event will be beach volleyball once the weather heats up a bit.
so we’re leading into the last quarter of the year…probs time to start hitting the books or more importantly getting your frocks and suits ready for the dental dinner to be held on the 14 th of November at burswood…promises to be a looooooooooose night and getting to the end of the year means its time to start nominating for positions on our udss committee for next year.
